Tennis and golf—these are considered upper class activities. Generally speaking, the martial arts are not usually considered high class. I had a person point out to me one time, “Well, take a look through the golf magazine and martial arts magazine and look at who advertises.”  In the golf magazine you’ve got Porsche advertising, Breitling watches, and great scotches… and you look through martial arts magazines and it’s all these companies with animal names on it.
