The following drills will not only improve your kata but also make your forms practicing more interesting and fun: 1. Slow Motion Kata The seven areas of kata are focus, breathing, harmony of motion, technique, flexibility, body control, and rhythm. Rhythm is the most important ingredient in kata expression because performing a kata in slow motion allows you to work on all seven of the areas mentioned.
