With COVID-19 causing imposed lockdowns and restrictions, the Martial Arts History Museum, now in its 21st year, has found new ways to keep its doors open. Since April 2020, the museum has been closed, and was forced to cancel its largest fundraising event, Dragonfest. In addition to creating a Facebook and in-person giving campaign, which has raised nearly $11,000, the museum has also relaunched its YouTube channel. Michael Matsuda, president and founder of the museum, has been working with star Cynthia Rothrock to create content, reaching nearly 30,000 subscribers on her personal channel.
