MAWnews: There are a fair amount of Taekwondo schools that are deeply focused on the sport element(s) of the art, and the Olympics. How do you feel about that and when did you get involved in that? HP: For me it was simple. First, I liked fighting (in the sparring sense), and then I liked the empowerment that fighting gave me. I realized that I happened to be training in a school where the instructor was a national champion. He was a student of a national champion in Korea, which back then would have been world champion.
