Probably the most common question that I get whenever anyone asks me about summer camp is related to staffing. They ask, “How do you staff your camp?” This question goes back to the planning and original preparation for summer camp. So what is some of the thinking that must go into the planning and preparation for a great staff. First you have to have enough staff. If you plan on having a hundred summer campers and you have your schedule for the camp, you next have to figure out how many people you need to operate it for the maximum outcome. Maximum outcome means it’s the best summer camp ever.
