I was going to roast and give tribute to J. Pat Burleson on behalf of the Sport Karate Museum. I received a phone call from Ed Daniel in which he said he used to work out with “Mattress Mack” before he became the Furniture Guru. He had become super enthusiastic and said “Mattress Mack” is an amazing man. What I didn’t know is that Mr. Burleson and Mr. Daniel used to beat him up regularly and according to Mr. Daniel he was pretty good in the ring too.
