According to a New York Times report citing confidential sources, Facebook has decided to connect Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp with a single, unified infrastructure. The plan is to achieve this integration by early 2020, if not sooner. That’s not to say they will become one – each platform will retain it’s own stand-alone app – users will just be able to message friends across all three platforms without switching apps. The apparent goal is to provide end-to-end encryption to insure the privacy of your messages. From a practical standpoint, this change might mean that if you use a Messenger Chatbot in your school, you’ll be able to extend those messages
