Long before he portrayed his roles as a retired swordsmith in Kill Bill and The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, Sonny Chiba was a prolific actor in Japanese Film and TV. Internationally his breakout movie came in 1974 as the ruthless character Terry Tsurugi in The Street Fighter. He was a legendary martial arts movie actor, producer, and director who died on August 19, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19. He will be missed and is brilliance can be seen in the clip found here and here.
