In general, people in our society are not allowed to use force against one another. The American Heritage Dictionary defines force: 1) to compel through pressure or necessity, 2a) to gain by the use of force or coercion, 2b) to move or effect against resistance or inertia, 2c) to inflict or impose relentlessly.
