MAWN: So you started in 77 with Tang Soo Do and then inherited the school. Tell us a little bit about that transition from martial arts student, to instructor, and to school owner. What was that like? DS: The previous owner, Master Masley, was going to shut the school down. I was a professional artist at the time, fresh out of school, freelancing.
