We are standing at a crossroads. The direction we choose will determine the future of the martial arts for the next generation. That’s a pretty heavy responsibility when you think about it. One road is the way of the UFC. The other road is the way of traditional martial arts. Which path should we, as the leaders of the martial arts industry, follow? Unquestionably we should follow the way of traditional martial arts. If we want to preserve our 5,000-year-old tradition, we should respect that tradition. If we want to preserve the business that feeds our families we should go home with the partner that brought us to the dance.
