MAWNews:Yeah, the first day on the floor is weird for everyone because you don’t know what to expect. So then you went into the Air Force and you continue training throughout that part of your career, correct? CR: It turned out to be one of the best things that could have happened to me. In the 1960s, there were significant transitions taking place, especially with the formation of the International Taekwondo Federation. At that time, Taekwondo was still evolving, and many of those developments hadn’t yet reached the United States. Most practitioners were still doing Tang So Do and following patterns unique to their particular kwan (schools). When I joined
